Street Festival

Pokhara street festival is organised every year at New year.It last for Five days.People from the city and outside the city are very excited about the festival.People eat varieties of foods,drinks,at the streets,where many different restaurants keep their istalls at the streets.People eat at streets,walks,enoys in their own way.Different games are played on the streets.The main festival starts at the evening.Number of people gather here for the festival.The festivals includes different cultural shows,talent shows,concerts,along with games for everyone.The festival helds at Lakeside areas every year at winter.In the festival many competitions such as horse riding,boating,volleyball competition and many more entertaining activities are carried during the festival.To be in the festival and enjoying is the best part to be in Pokhara.

Matepani Gumba(Buddhist Monastry)

Matepani gumba,located at the top of small forested hill is at east of mahendrapool.The gumba is the famous religious place for the buddhist people.The gumba is decorated like bride at the ouspicious occation of lord buddha,such as Buddha Purnima.The Lamas or the priest here,pray for the world peace for several days in the occassion of buddha purnima.The paintings of the gumba are so adorable.The are different artistic paintings.Inside the gumba,there is huge statue of lord Buddha with statue of two gurus side by side.Around the gumba,the chidren learning the lama preaching lives there.It is a huge Gumba and you can see it from anywhere within the city.You can access here by any vehicle or you can walk through the steep stairs,which is really tiring but the adventurous one.From the top of the gumba you can see the beautiful view of the pokhara city,lanscape very clearly.The environment around gumba is pleasant and healthy as it is located in the middle of the forest.

Gupteshwor cave

Gupteshwor Mahadev cave is loated at Chhorepatan.It is just opposite of Devi's fall.The water of the fall through the inner cave.The cave is divided into two parts.You have to pay for each parts.The first part include the temple of lord shiva with a huge stalagmite worshipped as a shiva lingum by the hindu religion people.There is an artificail cow which gives milk and holy water when you put some money in a box.The second part starts behind the temple of lord shivaji.You'll enter down and inner part of the cave.You don't have to be scared,because there are good management of electric bulbs at diffrent parts,all you need to be careful about the damped area and the structure in there.Going deep down the cave,you'll discover the water from the devi's fall.It is really an amaging view when you get there.You can find the huge rocks in a beautiful You'll just love the structure in there.

World peace pagoda

The World Peace Pagoda is built by the priest/guru for peace named as Nipponzan  Fujii, after the II world war in the name of the people who had to lost their lives. He was sad, since that time he began to do campaigns against the violence.He focused on human unity in the world,so he designed the stupa to  focus  people of all races and help them to unite for the world peace.This stupa is situated at the top of the hill at southern shore of fewa lake.You can get through it by boating and crossing through raniban(forest) or you can simply get through by taxi,but from another way.It is a big white stupa,with golden coloured shrine and statue od lord Buddha.There are stairs and the stupa is designed in a very logical and impressive manner.The whole part of stupa is white which reflects the symbol of peace.You can view the pokhara city,fewa lake and the surrounding hills. 

Sarangkot

Sarangkot is a semi-developed village from Pokhara.It is the highest view point from Pokhara.You can see whole pokhara from four direction from the tower.It is better to visit the tower early in the morning.You'll be able to watch the sunrise,the different mountain range from here.You can get here by bus,taxi,bikes or scooters and a bit walking through the stairs.You can go here as a trekking,its more fun in it.Along the stairs,you can find the restaurants,hand-made materials such as bags,caps,scafs,cothes,purse, and many more.You can enjoy sunrise and have breakfast in the restaurants here.The sunsets is even more better tha sunrise,you can stay here for a day and can enjoy both sunset and sunrise.Don't worry about the cost,there are cheap hotels you can afford.Sarangkot is the place where the paraglidings take off through.You can experience an adventure of free falling through it.Sarangkot is a peace place with fresh and healthy environment,which you'll love to be.

Fewa Lake

Fewa Lake is the second largest lake of Nepal with surface area 1.7 sq mi,28 ft average depth,75ft maximum depth lies at 784 m from the sea level.Fewa Lake is famous for the reflection of Mt.Machhapuchhre on it.The Annapurna range looms from the distance behind and makes Fewa lake more exotic.The another amazing part of Fewa lake is the BHARAHI temple situated at the middle of the lake as an only island in the whole Nepal.People can access to the temple through boats.Many visitors visit here and enjoys alot by boating,fishing,and swimming.You can rent boat and do boating on your own or take the boating person with you and discover the beauty of Fewa lake.The lake is used for irrigation and commercial fishing too.You can see - Sarangkot tower, Annapurna range,World Peace Stupa,sunrise,people doing paragliding from one point,i.e Fewa Lake.The Lake is the most popular shooting spot for movies,music vedios and all.The lake carries a religious belifs and its own history within itself.It is said that the formation of the lake aroung the barahi temple was in a supernatural way.Well to know details about the story you'll have to visit Pokhara by your own and discover the real interesting histories,believe me,its really amazing out here.
