Fewa Lake

Fewa Lake is the second largest lake of Nepal with surface area 1.7 sq mi,28 ft average depth,75ft maximum depth lies at 784 m from the sea level.Fewa Lake is famous for the reflection of Mt.Machhapuchhre on it.The Annapurna range looms from the distance behind and makes Fewa lake more exotic.The another amazing part of Fewa lake is the BHARAHI temple situated at the middle of the lake as an only island in the whole Nepal.People can access to the temple through boats.Many visitors visit here and enjoys alot by boating,fishing,and swimming.You can rent boat and do boating on your own or take the boating person with you and discover the beauty of Fewa lake.The lake is used for irrigation and commercial fishing too.You can see - Sarangkot tower, Annapurna range,World Peace Stupa,sunrise,people doing paragliding from one point,i.e Fewa Lake.The Lake is the most popular shooting spot for movies,music vedios and all.The lake carries a religious belifs and its own history within itself.It is said that the formation of the lake aroung the barahi temple was in a supernatural way.Well to know details about the story you'll have to visit Pokhara by your own and discover the real interesting histories,believe me,its really amazing out here.
